There have been two Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes updates since the game was released on January 18, 2019.

1.0.0[]

Launching Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes from a cartridge on an offline Nintendo Switch is the only way to experience the game as it was on January 18, 2019.

1.0.1[]

Version 1.0.1 was released on January 21, 2019 and added the New Game + mode, in which players who've completed the game can play again from the very beginning while retaining all of their characters' progressions. New T-shirts could also be earned by defeating each Death Driver on the Spicy difficulty. Lastly, the game received standard bug fixes. This update was intended to be a day one patch, however it was released three days after launch.

1.0.2[]

Version 1.0.2 was released on January 25, 2019 and inserted a new video before the previous opening where Badman comes straight for Travis Touchdown. This video uses killer7 graphics and a number of references to the game, most importantly a cameo from Dan Smith, and explains why Badman knew where to find Touchdown in the earlier opening video. On the downside, a bug surrounding total Skill Chips was also created, with the game's stats screen tallying more than could be acquired.

1.1.0[]

Version 1.1.0 was released on February 28, 2019 and added five new T-shirts, as well as Badman Strikes Back scenarios and the playable character Shinobu Jacobs for owners of the Black Dandelion expansion. Jacobs also joins the game with two exclusive Skill Chips.
