Strawberry on the Shortcake is a Dark Side Mode trance in both installments of the No More Heroes video game series. It is activated by matching three grasshoppers in No More Heroes and by matching three cherries in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.

No More HeroesEdit

Entering the trance causes Travis Touchdown to hair glow a bright yellow and his beam katana to becomes highly charged. The background grows blurry and Touchdown's speed increases exponentially. Any attack performed is counted as a fatal hit, and Death Blows performed while in Strawberry on the Shortcake can be executed by swinging the Wii Remote in any direction.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate StruggleEdit

Strawberry on the Shortcake's manifestation has been replaced with Cherry's effects, all with time slowing and invincibility, but Travis can continuously attack enemies, and will automatically finish them off when they are disposable.

Cultural referenceEdit
