Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day is an action video game for the PlayStation 3 console. It was released on January 16, 2014, published exclusively in Japan by Bandai Namco. Designed by Crispy's in collaboration with Goichi Suda of Grasshopper Manufacture, this was the first video game directed by Suda without Grasshopper since Moonlight Syndrome in 1997. Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day is considered by screenwriter Katsuhiro Otomo to be a playable fifth chapter of his 2013 anthology film Short Peace, rather than a video game adaptation based on it.
Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day is described as a high-speed action game where you use effects to defeat enemies. The first trailer for Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day fits that description with Ranko sliding through levels and colorful objects popping out whenever an enemy is defeated.
