Takada Masafumi

Masafumi Takada (高田雅史) is a Japanese video game music composer. His most notable works are the soundtracks for killer7 and No More Heroes. Takada often partners up with musician and guitar player Jun Fukuda, and worked with SUDA51 from Moonlight Syndrome to Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen. Takada was responsible for most of the music of every single game Grasshopper developed in that period, as well as contributions to remix albums for their games.

After departing Grasshopper Manufacture around the release of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Takada formed his own independent studio, Sound Prestige Records. The studio has since provided the music for the entire Danganronpa series, and Takada has worked on other projects like Tango Gameworks' The Evil Within. During this period, Takada was mostly silent regarding his time at Grasshopper; he finally made his return to working with SUDA51 and Grasshopper with the 2018 remake of The 25th Ward: The Silver Case, to which he provided two tracks, one remixed and one brand new.
