Kurayami dance

Kurayami Dance (暗闇ダンス) is a 2015-2016 manga written by SUDA51 and drawn by Syuji Takeya. It is based off of Kurayami, SUDA51's original game concept that EA forced him to change into Shadows of the DAMNED. The first volume was released in Japan in 2016, and an English release has been confirmed by SUDA51 over Instagram/Twitter. It was serialized in the manga magazine Comic Beam.

Suda51 game references

Kurayami Dance contains many references to SUDA51's past works. In the beginning of the story, the protagonist Kamikaze Wateru is seen talking to Tokio Morishima in the bathroom. One story arc involves a Union Hotel, which is once again ran by Edo Macalister. More mysteriously, however, is the fact that the protagonist looks like he has a Silver Eye in his right eye socket. Other references include characters texting eachother with killer7-themed messages, a version of Garcia Hotspur based off of early Kurayami sketches and author's notes that advertise the HD release of The Silver Case. There is even a sequence where to major characters go off in search of Wateru, only to learn that he was taught how be an assassin by Travis Touchdown. While on the same search they run into a battle between the Santa Death Parade and the Glastonbury.

The manga is complete at two volumes.
