Jacob's Ladder is Shinobu Jacobs main weapon in the video game No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. It is traditional Japanese katana which looks exactly like the Three Girl Rhumba's Sword, Shinobu's previous weapon. The sword still retains its ability to produce the energy wave Gentoken which can be charged to produce dual energy waves. Both swords look exactly alike except that the scabbard no longer bears the charms and Bizarre Jelly figures and is now carried entirely on Shinobu's back. Also, despite being a steel katana, it has a battery gauge which acts as more like its sharpness gauge, as Shinobu has to sharpen it, although with what is not exactly known. The gauge lasts so long, that sharpening it is not actually (or is very rarely) necessary.

The name Jacob's Ladder may be a reference to both Shinobu's surname, Jacobs, and the physical ladder to Heaven mentioned in the Bible.
The name may also likely be a reference to the 1990 psychological horror film Jacob's Ladder.
