Giant Smiles (ジャイアントスマイル, Jaiantosumairu) are enemies featured in killer7, and are a special variety of Heaven Smile. They make their first and only appearance in Target02: Cloudman, where they patrol the streets of Ulmeyda InterCity.

As their name suggests, Giant Smiles are colossal Heaven Smiles. Apart from their increased size and a slightly bulkier frame, they are visually highly similar to regular Heaven Smiles apart from the addition of a large, cyclopean eye in the middle of their forehead. This eye repeatedly opens and shuts, and is the Smile's only weak spot. However, the eye can be extremely tricky to hit unless the player uses a more accurate persona such as KAEDE. MASK de Smith cannot hit the eye weakspot of Giant Smiles, but he can simply blast away away at them with his grenade launchers until they perish normally. Spending Thin Blood to use MASK's special shells is advisable if the Giant is near.

A more reliable way of getting past a Giant Smile is to simply let it approach (or run up to it). Its only attack is to topple forward very slowly and attempt to squash its target, at which point it will explode. All the player has to do is to get near it and quickly turn around and run away while it falls over (this is most easily accomplished if playing as Con Smith or Kevin Smith. If the player is far away enough, the explosion will do no damage.

Iwazaru Note Description[]

  • Master. This is too much. The new type of enemy is called the Giant. This bulbous accident only has size going for it. The weak point is its eye "chakra". But sometimes its eye is closed. Stop its plodding around for good. In the name of Harman...

Trivia[]

  • Iwazaru describes the Giant Smile's eye as a 'chakra'. Chakras are points located throughout the body which generate, store and radiate energy, and are featured in certain Hindu and Buddhist traditions as well as in traditional Indian medicine. One of these chakras, Ajna, is also known as the 'Third Eye' chakra, hence Iwazaru's description is possibly a foreshadowing of Emir Parkreiner's own third eye. Somewhat appropriately, the number of chakras is traditionally placed at seven.
