FREAK SCENE

FREAK SCENE is the name of Coyote Smith's modified Enfield revolver, customized with optimizations and modifications said to violate several international laws. It can hold six rounds. Using one vial of blood, it can also fire a "custom magnum shell". Coyote holds it upside down at an angle, described to be his own unique signature "gangsta style" grip. Overall, it is a handgun significant and signature of the professional criminal.

Namesake

"Freak Scene" is the name of a song by the band Dinosaur Jr. off of their 1989 album Bug. It contains the lyrics "so fucked, I can't believe it", and is in fact the only song that one of the Smiths' weapons is named after to contain swearing; Coyote's critical hit quote is "you're fucked". The lyrics seem to describe a tumultuous relationship between the singer and another person; if this is about Coyote and Dan's mutual hatred, then it implies an unspoken softer side, ending with the line "'cause when I need a friend it's still you".
